Media One Spotlight: Wells

    We are excited to welcome Wells Davis to the Media One team as our Head of Strategy. With over 20 years of experience working in brand strategy, Wells has developed and implemented brand and content strategy for leading brands such as Apple, Kia, Coca Cola, Lexus, Toyota, Nissan, Infiniti, BMW, Nike, The Toronto Raptors, Samsung, Sony, Xbox, Microsoft, P&G, Xerox, Adidas, Kellogg’s, McDonald’s, Jack In The Box, and Burger King. Wells has contributed to numerous award-winning campaigns for both strategy and creative excellence. This includes 14 Cannes Lions for global excellence in advertising and dozens of other local and international awards. Wells has also served on the EFFIES Final Jury for advertising excellence that helped drive sales. At Media One, Wells will be leading our strategic thinking and brand strategy, as well as organic growth management.

    Q: What do you enjoy most about working in your field?

    A: it keeps me forever curious about people, culture, and business. 

     

    Q: What is your past industry experience?

    A: I have 25 years of developing brand and go-to-market strategies for some of the world’s biggest and most loved brands. 

     

    Q: What do you like most about being a part of the creative world?

    A: Creativity is the closest thing to being gods. The creators are so important. 

     

    Q: What are some of your favourite hobbies and activities?

    A: I love to play turntables. I have thousands of vinyl albums.  I also enjoy coaching basketball. I have more than 25 years of experience coaching and have worked with a program that has helped provide young players with opportunities to play professionally both in the NBA and overseas. 

     

    Q: What is something about you that people might not know about you?

    A: I am very shy.
